Well, it's been a long, overwhelming 3 months since my last post. I think the easiest way to update you on everything in the last three months would be to divide it into each month- before starting my daily updates :)
This blog is going to be a randomness of daily thoughts, random tidbits of info I hear of or find out, things I've found that work easier as far as being a Mom or Wife are concerned, how school is going, random venting, random craftsy/artsy-fartsy D.I.Y projects I find, and random beautiful photographs I find while stalking on Facebook- lol!
January::
Let's see here- after Christmas it became apparent that Abi had realized that her biological father wasn't going to be around as much as she had hoped. After Christmas we spent 16 days waiting to hear from him via visit, text, phone, email- nothing. And at that time he insisted that he had to have Abi for the following weekend, which you know wouldn't be horrible if he called every once and again or even paid his child support- which I haven't seen a dime of since November of 2010. Yep- just great! This month I turned 23 years old on the 9th, it snowed, we got our tax return- which we paid ALL of our current bills (minus collection debts- ugh!) Abi saw her Father a few times after that initial weekend, but it tapered off- as it usually does. Oh well, so thankful she has Tyler (her Daddy; even her bio father said this!). On the 20th, I had an ENT (ear, nose, throat) visit where I had a hearing test to find out that I have a hole in my right ear drum causing slight hearing loss. Also, on this day, one of my closest friends (Mary & Mindy) lost their grandmother. :( RIP, Olene Adams. Abi had her first blood draw this month in order to have a CBC to make sure that everything was fine with Abi's blood as her eyes have horrible browness and circles under her eyes, she doesn't sleep regulary, and can't focus to save her life! This month was also a huge step in Abi's biological father's and his girlfriend's relationship because after 2 years of being together Abi finally met Amy's parents, The Chiu's. Abi loved them, loved their "gigantic" house, and their "piano room". I tried to start a diet and start working out- that lasted about a week. Yep, this month ended on a great note.
February::
This month started off with my sister, Misty's, birthday and our annual birthday trip to P.F. Chang's- YUM! This month I was determined to get onto a schedule (HAHAHA!) for me and the girls, and that obviously didn't happen. It's just so hard to get into a new routine, even though I know it needs to be done in order to get everything in my life where I really want. I started working out 20 minutes a day doing Zumba Fitness on the Kinect for xBox360. Abi had her first recital with Ballerina's Academy of Dance. She did a tap number, and it was adorable!!!! She made me such a proud Mommy. Knowing that Caydee and Isabella will both be in the show on Abi's 5th birthday in June melts my entire heart. ♥ Caydee went to her first ENT appointment where she met Dr. Yukilous and found out she had to have tubes on March 1st, unfortunately for her she got her Momma's ears- those darn tiny, crooked ear canals! :( Abi, for the first time, cried telling me she wanted to stay with me instead of going to see her biological father. I had to have a mole removed from my right shoulder blade (scary as heck- but it didn't hurt near as bad and is healing quite nicely!) I found out that one of my friends, Jacqueline & Mitch, are going to be welcoming Baby Jaxon Dwight Dwigans into the world in July! Craziness!! :) Abi went to see Dr. Yukilous too, and found out that she needed nasal spray in order to avoid tonsils and adenoids being taken out, which I still am afraid that are still going to need to come out. This crazy month ended on a hectic, overwhelming, emotional note.
And that brings us to this month, March! This crazy month has started with a bajillion things to do in order to get everything ready to be able to start my clinical courses beginning on April 12. I had to have a TB test, a flu shot, a tetanus shot, get my immunization records, and get it all turned in by a certain deadline in order to have it reviewed and approved by a certain deadline. This month has been overwhelming and emotional for me already. I found out that 3 families that I knew (not well, just acquaintances) had lost a child of theirs. RIP Baby Mason, Baby Ava, and Baby Faith. As well, as finding out that my high school guidance counselor (RIP, Mrs. Dianne Douglass), and a good friend of my brother in law's (RIP, Mike Buschman) had passed away as well. What a month it has been. I went to see my Dad after 13 years of not seeing him, and I can say it was probably one of the most awkward, weird, nerve-wracking, numbing and rewarding things I've ever done. It was hard for me to let him back into my life and understand that he's trying to change, even if in the past he hasn't- and while I still hold my reservations and fears I am trying to mend fences and build a better relationship- not only for me and for him, but for my daughters as well. My family and I went to visit my grandmother in KY- and it was a different visit from normal because she spent her entire time in the hospital or being transferred to another hospital in order to have her gallbladder removed.
Now- its today, March 24th, also on a more immature note- mine and my hubby's 46 month dating anniversary; don't hate- I'm in love with my husband and we celebrate the corniest things. :) Speaking of the hubs, we are doing great! Our relationship is better than it has ever been, and our daughters are blossoming and growing into amazing little girls who I can't believe I've mothered. Today has been a very chill day of editing and re-starting this blog, thinking about the life to come, and the craziness to ensue these next few months. I promise to update everyday, even sometimes multiple times a day, but it's for you, for me, and for our sanities! Hope you enjoy and continue to follow me on this journey of change! Thanks for taking the time to read!
